The Power of Mother Nature...What a Storm...

We had some very powerful storms roll through our area yesterday evening...As several neighbors reported they definitely saw a twister...We have so many down trees, and lots of houses damaged...Several families had to leave their homes because of major structural damage...We were lucky in that we didn't have to leave our house...Still we have some structural damage to the house and a lot of town trees...So many trees were just cut right in half...Take a look at the pictures below...

One of the firemen who came knocking at our door to make sure we were ok said it looks like a twister tried to touch town but only hit the tops of trees...We sit very low and I think that's why we faired better than our neighbors...

Thank God no one was hurt or injured...

Hi Eileen
That is terrible! I'm sorry you sustained such damage to your house. Just look at those trees! But you're right, it's amazing no one was hurt. You're in MD, right?

Glad to hear you are all OK. That looks nasty. We had an ice storm this past winter which produced similar damage. Thus we spent a lot of time cutting, trimming and hauling tree limbs around. The good news is we have plenty of wood for this winter.

Happiness...

"Tell everyone you know: "My happiness depends on me, so you're off the hook." And then demonstrate it. Be happy, no matter what they're doing. Practice feeling good, no matter what. And before you know it, you will not give anyone else responsibility for th e way you feel—and then, you'll love them all. Because the only reason you don't love them, is because you're using them as your excuse to not feel good."
