As most of you guessed the answer to last week's theme had to do with sunshine...One of my favorite children's song is Mr. Sun...We used to sing this song with my oldest when he was a toddler all of the time...Wish I could find the video but I'm sure it's on a VHS tape somewhere...So here is my share of MR. SUN...

WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE...
This is one of my absolutely Favorite childhood books...I used to read it to my older son alot...I bet I read it every night for months and months on end...I still have the original book with his teeth marks on it from when he was little...My favorite line is...
"and when he came to the place where the wild things are they ROARED THEIR TERRIBLE ROARS AND GNASHED THEIR TERRIBLE TEETH AND ROLLED THEIR TERRIBLE EYES AND SHOWED THEIR TERRIBLE CLAWS TILL MAX SAID "BE STILL!"...
Last week's theme is something I think we all strive for in our lives...Between work, family, school, activities and working at our talents we sometimes find it hard to achieve a healthy balance in our daily lives...At least for me, I know that sometimes my life feels "out of balance" and what I need to do is to focus on taking care of me first...How on earth can I take care of others who I love and care for so much without taking care of myself...I could go on and on but I will stop here with one simple word...
So I admit, I never knew what this was all about until I travelled to New Mexico and bought an ornament for my bathroom...I grew up back in the "hippie" days and took my place that suited me in the natural, flower power, care free time...Enough of that...My point being, I love the Grateful Dead, and still do...Guess you could call me a "dead head"...So my passion for Skulls and Roses came natural...
Back to New Mexico...So this ornament was a tile with...well let me show you...
the shop keeper explained what all of these awesome skull things were all about...That's when I learned about...
i'm sad...only 11 comments last week...well, the last week in August is a big week for vacations and back to school...i'll be picking a winner for August's Theme for Thursday this weekend...Good luck to all who commented and/or took a guess...
THE ANSWER to last week's Theme for Thursday is...
WOW...I didn't know what I was in for when I had this thought for the Theme for Thursday last week...I was thinking...
THE MOST IMPORTANT MEAL OF THE DAY ... I always start my day with breakfast...I would be lost without food/fuel in my tummy in the morning...So I was eating breakfast one day when I had the thought for this theme...
I had no idea that there was a book called Breakfast of Champions until today when posting this answer...I have no idea what it is about but I'll link it anyway...I might just have to read it for myself...The book is by Kurt Vonnegut...I know I read something of his a long long time ago but can't remember the name...

"Tell everyone you know: "My happiness depends on me, so you're off the hook." And then demonstrate it. Be happy, no matter what they're doing. Practice feeling good, no matter what. And before you know it, you will not give anyone else responsibility for th e way you feel—and then, you'll love them all. Because the only reason you don't love them, is because you're using them as your excuse to not feel good."
